Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, formerly Henkel AG & Co Kgaa, operates in three segments: Laundry & Home Care, Cosmetics/Toiletries and Adhesive Technologies. Laundry & Home Care business sector produces and sells detergents, laundry care products, dishwashing and cleaning products and insecticides. Cosmetics/Toiletries sector consists of hair cosmetics, body care, skin care, oral care and hair salon products. Adhesive Technologies produces and sells cyanoacrylates, office products for gluing and correcting applications, adhesive tapes, contact adhesives, adhesives for home decoration, building and do-it-yourself applications, adhesives and sealants for industrial applications and products for surface treatment. As of December 31, 2010, the Company owned 95% in Henkel Huawei Electronics Co. Ltd. In June 2010, it sold its Taiwanese business. In December 2010, it acquired Schwarzkopf Inc. In May 2011, Jyothy Laboratories, Ltd. acquired the Company's 50.97% in its Indian unit, Henkel India Ltd.

Le CA par famille de produits se repartit comme suit :

- produits de nettoyage et colles industrielles (36,5%) : produits destines a l'entretien des surfaces metalliques (lubrifiants, produits anticorrosion ou antigel), colles industrielles et d'emballage (marques Loctite, Technomelt Supra Cool et Ablestik Self-filleting) ;

- detergents et produits d'entretien (29%) : lessives (marques Persil, Somat et Purex) ;

- produits de soins (21,9%) : produits de soins capillaires (marque Schwarzkopf et Syoss), d'hygiene corporelle (Dial Anti-Ox Body Wash), d'hygiene bucco-dentaire, etc. ;

- colles et adhesifs (12,6%) : colles grand public (marques Pritt et Pattex), rubans adhesifs (Duck), colles pour papiers peints (Metylan).
